This weeks highlighted career and competition areas are Precision Machining and Job Skill Demonstration! 

Precision Machining 

• Precision machinists use many machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, gliders, and drill presses to produce metal/non-metal parts made to exacting standards
• This is a Red Seal Certified Trade
• This competition is run at the Skills Canada BC Provincial Competition at the Post-Secondary level

Job Skill Demonstration

• Completing a well thought out and detailed demonstration can give you confidence in yourself and your abilities, this requires research, practice, props and being organized 
• This competition returned in 2024 at the Skills Canada BC Provincial Competition and our competitor, Jordan-Mae Friedland, brought home a silver National medal! 
• This competition is run at the Skills Canada BC Provincial Competition at the Secondary level
