This Giving Tuesday,

Give the gift of....

Empowerment....hope...future....possibility....life!

Your donations have great impact on

generations of families.

Seriously.

For instance...

Jamie called our pregnancy center about a year ago, saying she was too old to have a baby, and didn't know how far along she was. When Jamie arrived for her appointment with us, it became very clear to the advocate and nurse by her appearance and demeanor that she had a lot going on.

.

Jamie revealed that she had been on drugs, was homeless, and was distraught at the thought of having a baby in her early forties.

.

During her visit with us, she decided to keep the baby. We worked hard to keep in touch with her throughout her pregnancy. We spent 9 months intermittently hearing from her, always from a different number than the previous time. Every time she told us she had not been to a doctor yet.

.

We then received the call from her in the hospital, where she told us she was in labor, 4 weeks too early. Over the next several days we worked with her and the hospital professionals to better understand her situation. After a long labor and eventual c-section, Jamie gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby boy.

.

A few days later we found out from hospital officials that Jamie had left the hospital against medical advice and left the baby in the NICU. We then heard from Jamie's adult daughter, that she had been in touch with her mom, and was trying to figure out what options she had when it came to caring for her new baby brother. Jamie's adult daughter also had an infant daughter and was very overwhelmed at the thought of taking in another baby. We referred her to an adoption agency who could answer her questions about the process.

.

Fast forward, a few weeks later, as we were doing our regular check up with Jamie's daughter to see if she needed more diapers or baby clothes, she informed us that Jamie had tragically died of a drug overdose.

.

Jamie's daughter is now in the process of adopting her little brother.

.

Jamie's legacy lives on in her healthy baby boy.

"When God made his promise to Abraham, since there was no one greater for him to swear by, he swore by himself, saying, 'I will surely bless you and give you many descendants.' And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised...We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure." - Hebrews 6:13-15, 19

.

NY abortion laws are more extreme than they have ever been. Which means it's easier than ever for women to seek and receive an abortion. Even without proof of pregnancy. Even without a doctor's visit. Even without a required after-care visit. Right now we see an average of 30 women a month. Abortion searches in Orange County exceed 500 every month.

We need to reach more women like Jamie.

.

.

This means our work in the pregnancy center has gotten that much more intense, and that much harder to reach women where they are. We need to be there, on Google, on Instagram, on Facebook, on social media when they are typing those words "abortion near me."

.

Please pray with us as we explore new marketing strategies.

Marketing is very expensive, but it is VITAL if we are going to reach women experiencing an unplanned pregnancy.

And when you give, know that you are helping women like Jamie and like her baby.

Your gift this Giving Tuesday is a Beacon of Light into hopeless and broken places.
