Dear Holy Name Families,

At Tuesday's Opening Mass, Fr. Denis offered a special prayer at the conclusion of his homily asking the Holy Spirit to guide our school year. We also hope the Holy Spirit inspires our Student Council members who were inaugurated at the conclusion of mass. We look forward to their leadership this year.

Last year, we launched a student recognition program - the Eagle Award. Based on our mascot, students receive recognition when they go above and beyond to make our school a better place. The award recognizes the display of respect, empathy, creativity, gratitude, honesty, perseverance, cooperation, courage, and responsibility in our community. We awarded five Eagles this week. The first three Eagles went to 6th graders, and I am happy to see our 6th grade students leading by example.

Home and School's Touch-a-Truck is quickly approaching on October 14. Holy Name also will hold an Open House for prospective parents in conjunction with Touch-a-Truck. If you know any families who are interested in learning more about Holy Name, please help us spread the word.

Have a great weekend.

Best regards,

Mr. Chisholm
