City of Long Beach Shares Resources Available to Community for Addressing Issues Related to Homelessness

The City has an active interdepartmental team that works together to develop solutions, create procedures and protocols for street teams and address issues related to community members experiencing homelessness. Connecting people to the right service is critical to ensure positive outcomes for the entire community. Resources regarding who to call, and when, are available by clicking here.

2nd Street Speed Limit

There is an issue before the Council on Tuesday night that will reduce the speed limit on 2^nd street to 30 from 35. We have brought up previously. This is lumped with many other changes to speed limits and my assumption it will pass. This is a concern to many residents over the years and we’ll be able to give more info next month

Receive Emergency Alerts!

In a disaster, timely and accurate information is critical. Alert Long Beach is an emergency notification system used by the City of Long Beach to issue emergency alerts to residents and businesses. The system has the capacity to send thousands of messages within minutes via phone, e-mail and text.

Naples Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) encourages all residents to sign up by going to the City of Long Beach’s Alert Long Beach site - HERE, or downloading the CodeRED Mobile Alert app.
