At the recent Adobe MAX, Adobe launched new versions of most of their Creative Cloud apps. Here are the new features in the latest release of Premiere Pro (v25.0). (I haven't upgraded yet because I was finishing all my NAB interviews. I plan to upgrade this coming week.)

Recently, NewsWise published a research report from the University of Maryland on the balance between passion and innovation. Surprisingly, becoming too passionate stifles innovation. I found the article interesting and wanted to share it with you.

One of the techniques I used in recording interviews at NAB was using Audition session templates to simplify the process of setting up a new interview session. Both Premiere Pro and Audition support project templates. This article explains how to create them for both programs.

Paul is creating a compilation video and asks: What happens when I copy clips from one Final Cut Pro library to another? And how can I keep my library sizes small? The answer? It all depends upon how you initially import your media.

Here in the northeast, the air is turning colder, leaves are falling furiously, and the bright colors of fall are already fading. Apple is announcing new products this coming week and, personally, I'm looking forward to seeing the latest evolution of Mac desktops. It's strange, though. In the past, advances in computers meant we could edit video faster. But, with the advent of Apple silicon, video editing speeds have plateaued simply because for SD, HD or 4K work, any Apple silicon system is fast enough to edit video using any NLE.
Still, new computers are fun to consider - especially if you have an older system. I'm looking to replace a 2018 Mac mini with something newer. So, I'm looking forward to the coming week.
I'm also looking forward to the release - and comments about - macOS 15.1. I'm still running 14.6.1 - because it works and doesn't cause trouble. Yet, I don't want to get too far behind. Balancing the old with the new is a never-ending challenge; especially when you factor security into the mix.
Until next Monday, stay safe, stay healthy and edit well.
