City Council to Hold Public Hearings on 2024 Operating Budget

January 4, 2024

Columbus City Council invites residents and neighborhood leaders to a series of public hearings to review and provide feedback on the City of Columbus' $1.1 Billion 2024 Operating Budget, proposed by Mayor Ginther back in November. The operating budget supports all City operations, such as the Divisions of Police and Fire, and other neighborhood services. This year, committees were restructured to focus on Council's priorities.

At these hearings, directors and representatives from the departments that fall under the newly structured committees will present their budget needs to the committee chairs. Following the hearings, City Council will amend the operating budget before voting on a final plan.
