Welcome to the alumni family!

Over 3,000 new graduates joined our Alumni Association in October, as Georgian College held convocation ceremonies for Georgian and Georgian@ILAC students throughout the month. Our global alumni family is over 113,000 members strong and growing!

Above, alumna Caitlin Tingey (class of 2024) who graduated from the Anishnaabemowin and Program Development program, received the prestigious Governor General Academic Medal. She is pictured with Chief Ted Williams, Rama Council (left), Kevin Weaver, President and CEO, Georgian College (middle), and Steve Lowe, Board of Governors Chair (right). The award is given to a student graduating with the highest grade point average.

A heartfelt thanks to alumnus Rick Black (class of 2007), a graduate of the Electrical Engineering Technology program, and alumna Dianne Martin (class of 1997, hon. degree 2015), a graduate of the Nursing program. These exceptional alumni speakers inspired our new graduates with their remarks at convocation.

Your insights will help shape our strategic plan

Earlier this year, Georgian embarked on a process to develop our next strategic plan.

Over the course of 120-plus days, more than 5,000 points of input were gathered from students, alumni, employers, community leaders, industry partners, donors, employees and friends of Georgian.

We’re excited to share our findings with you in the 120 Days of Listening Report.

The insights shared will be used as our foundation for developing our next strategic plan – Vision 2030, set to launch in the spring. Questions? Contact strategy@georgiancollege.ca
