Burglary Prevention Tips
Burglary prevention is an essential aspect of home security. Here are some tips to help you prevent burglaries:

Secure Your Doors and Windows
  • Ensure all doors and windows are closed and locked before leaving your home and turning in for the evening.
  • Keep your garage door closed and locked, as it can provide easy access to your home if left unsecured.

Outdoor Lighting and Landscaping
  • Install motion-sensor lights around the perimeter of your home to deter burglars and increase visibility at night.
  • Maintain a clear line of sight around your property by trimming shrubs and bushes, eliminating potential hiding spots for intruders.

Home Security Systems
  • Turn on the alarm system on a regular basis, away and home modes.
  • Place surveillance cameras at strategic locations, such as entry points, driveways, and backyards, to capture any suspicious activity.
  • Display signs indicating your home is protected by a security system to discourage burglars.

Home Safety Measures
  • Establishing good relationships with neighbors can create a sense of community and increase vigilance.
  • Keep your valuable items, such as jewelry and important documents, in a secure safe or hidden in less obvious places.
  • Avoid posting vacation plans or being too specific about your whereabouts on social media platforms.

Most important is Call 911 for ANY suspicious activity immediately!
