Full Armor of God prayer event encourages the community to pray for our elected officials
The Montgomery County Republican Party hosted its first annual “Armor of God, Montgomery County Prays” prayer event on Saturday, May 13, at Grace Church Woodlands. The event was a wonderful time of worship, prayer, and encouraging messages for our Montgomery County elected officials, bringing the community together to cover each elected official in prayer, regardless of party affiliation.

Reverend Jason Nelson explained how we are to utilize each piece of the armor of God (Ephesians 6:11-18) in our daily lives. The keynote speaker, Judge Vincent Santini of the 457th District Court, urged those in office to live and stand by faith when administering their duties. Other speakers included Pastor and State Republican Executive Committeeman Dale Inman (SD 4), and Spokesman for Senator Ted Cruz, William Little.

Republican Party of Texas Chairman Matt Rinaldi, State Representative Steve Toth, and Sheriff Rand Henderson lent their voices via video, urging those in attendance to keep up the fight for good while remaining in prayer for revival in our state and country. Finally, Reverend Nelson provided a rousing prayer over all the elected officials in Montgomery County.

Texas Senator Brandon Creighton was originally scheduled as the keynote speaker, but on the evening before the prayer event was asked by Lt. Governor Dan Patrick to stay in Austin as one of only three Texas Senators selected to help him negotiate the gap between the Senate and House budgets. Montgomery County is proud to have Senator Creighton in Austin working on our behalf.

Senator Creighton sent a representative to answer questions about the Legislative Session and provided a written statement for the event, which was read by SREC Committeeman Dale Inman. “I miss everyone who’s there at Grace Church this morning and I’m extremely grateful to be invited to speak at the Armor of God prayer event,” said Senator Creighton.

His statement provided an update on efforts he’s been leading in the Texas Senate as the new Education Committee Chairman and Higher Education Subcommittee Chairman to get rid of DEI, CRT, tenure, and bloated university budgets. He said that his focus is on conservative principles, free enterprise, and capitalism in Texas.

The Party would like to thank Texas Senator Brandon Creighton, Rep. Steve Toth, and Sheriff Rand Henderson for providing breakfast; Grace Church Woodlands for allowing us to use their beautiful facility for the event; and Judge Santini for stepping in at the last minute to provide an inspiring message for our elected officials!

Kathy Ross leaves an inspiring legacy of strength, loyalty, and love
Precinct 67 Chair and conservative warrior, Kathryn Ross, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 15. Kathy was a strong, principled, fearless woman who selflessly gave her time and treasure standing up for conservative causes.

Kathy became Precinct 67 Chair (The Woodlands) in 2018, and was much loved by everyone who had the privilege of working with her. During election season, she was a dependable sight in the parking lots around Montgomery County, while also supporting statewide candidates and causes. She was a smart, fierce person who made a point to support and encourage others and was never afraid to speak the truth.

Kathy was a founding member of the Montgomery County Freedom Caucus, a former Chaplain of the Woodlands Republican Women’s Club, an instrumental member of the Montgomery County Pachyderm Club, an owner of multiple businesses, and a member of Grace Church Woodlands. She also showed her love for the least among us with her foster residential care home, The Wee Care Girls.

Her favorite color, pink, accurately symbolizes the love and compassion she embodied. Kathy leaves behind an inspiring legacy of strength, loyalty, and love, and her encouraging presence will be deeply missed in Montgomery County by the Republican Party County Executive Committee and by all who knew and encountered her.

Hijacked: How the County Chairman is undermining the Party and Montgomery County voters
The Montgomery County Republican Party has been hijacked by Party Chairman Bryan Christ! At the direction of Chairman Christ, and without the knowledge and consent of the County Executive Committee (CEC), Chairman Christ has:

  • Permanently closed down the Party Headquarters,
  • Liquidated the Party's assets, and
  • Appropriated some of the Party's equipment to Chairman Christ and his wife's new "Montgomery County Republican Club" Political Action Committee (PAC).

And now, Chairman Christ is transferring money from a Montgomery County Republican Party bank account directly to his "Montgomery County Republican Club PAC" account.

Republican voters need to know that the money they have given to Chairman Christ's minority faction of the Party, operating under the Texas Ethics Commission filer name of the "MCTX REPUBLICAN VICTORY PAC," has been transferred to the Christs' new "Montgomery County Republican Club PAC."
Here is a list that the Christs' PAC published of their donors. The "MCTX REPUBLICAN VICTORY PAC" is a Montgomery County Republican Party bank account.
Chairman replaces Party Headquarters with a facility for his PAC
The Christs' newest PAC, which they have deceptively named the "Montgomery County Texas Republican Club PAC," has opened a PAC headquarters, which they are calling the "Republican Welcome Center." If you do a Google Maps search for "Montgomery County Republican Party," it now directs you to the location of the Christs' PAC headquarters on Austin St. in Conroe. They also have begun listing the address of their PAC's facility as the Montgomery County Republican Party Headquarters on their minority group emails and website.

This is not the first time Chairman Christ has been involved in promoting a PAC meant to confuse voters. The unsuspecting voter who sees that the Party's elected Chairman is advertising and fundraising for this PAC, and has designated his PAC office as the official Party Headquarters, would certainly get the impression that the Christs' PAC is the official Montgomery County Republican Party Headquarters, but it is not!

The facility located on Austin St. in Conroe is NOT associated with the Montgomery County Republican Party.

This is another attempt by Chairman Christ to circumvent the Party majority and operate without the checks and balances provided by elected Precinct Chairs.
County Party Updates
Many are wondering what’s causing the dispute in the local Party, especially at this critical time in our state and nation. Visit County Party Updates to learn why Precinct Chairs are being forced to choose between standing up for the grassroots or looking the other way in the name of "unity."
Perspectives on the Party from a County Precinct Chair
Precinct 63 Chair Herschel Williams explains how his military and professional background led him to serve as a Precinct Chair, what he has learned, and his solution to the divide within the Montgomery County Republican Party. "Some seek positions of influence for self-aggrandizement or increased worth, and others as a service to their cause. We have no place for the former," he says.

Dispelling false claims about the Montgomery County Republican Party bank accounts

Watch the next in our series of videos explaining what's going on in the local party. This short video provides details on the Montgomery County Republican Party bank accounts and addresses false claims by Chairman Christ's minority group that funds have been misappropriated by Party officers.

May 6 Election Results
Results from the May 6 Joint Election are provided on the Montgomery County Elections website. Only 2.4 percent of registered voters participated in the election. Local elections make a huge impact on our daily lives by determining our representation on local school boards and taxing entities. This is why increased fundraising for Get-Out-the-Vote efforts is so important.

TEXAS
Revenge of the RINOs

Texans have been watching our state slide toward purple for several years now. In the 2020 presidential election, Democrats comprised an alarming 46.5 percent of the vote in the Lone Star State. There are many reasons for this voter demographic shift, but some portion of the blame can certainly be placed on a slew of elected Republican officials who have abandoned President Reagan’s vision of a Republican Party platform of bold, unmistakable colors and have instead covered themselves in pale pastels.

When the 88th Texas Legislative Session began on January 9, 2023, it became abundantly clear that the "Pastel Republicans" would use this session to try and destroy the Republican Party of Texas as they wrote laws to marginalize the Republican Party's power and influence in Texas. If you want to preserve the Republican Party as a "bottom-up," grassroots organization, click below to read more and contact the Senate Committee on State Affairs to oppose House Bill 1635, which would eliminate the Republican Party's ability to disassociate with any candidate who refuses to follow Party principles or Party rules.
Texas lost a mighty warrior
On May 4, Texas lost a mighty warrior with the passing of Mr. Alan Vera. Mr. Vera passed away at the Texas Capitol advocating for election integrity as he prepared to testify in support of multiple bills.

Mr. Vera served as the Chair of the Harris County GOP Ballot Security Committee and was one of the original founders of "True the Vote" in Texas. He was considered to be the foremost expert on Election Integrity in this region and won multiple awards for his political activism.

Mr. Vera always said he "gives all the credit for whatever good he's accomplished to Almighty God." His passion and dedication to election integrity was inspirational to all who knew him and he will be sorely missed.

Election Bills obstructed by the Texas House

Without a secure election system, there is no ‘by the people’ or ‘for the people.' Election Integrity may be a Legislative Priority for Republican voters, but it certainly does not seem to be a priority for many of our Republican legislators in the Texas House.

Texas House Speaker kills key border bill

With an endless stream of illegal immigrants crossing the border and our Texas National Guard standing in the breach, House Speaker Dade Phelan chose to sustain a Democrat point of order, effectively killing HB 20 by sending it back to committee past the deadline for it to be considered.

Texas House passes SB 14, banning child gender modification

It’s been a long, hard road, but at last we have a win in the fight to stop the chemical and surgical gender modification of children in Texas. The passage of Senate Bill 14 is a great victory for Republicans and all who care about the well-being of children.

Texas Senate passes SB 17 to eliminate DEI in Texas Higher Education

One of the most important bills passed by the Senate this session was Senator Brandon Creighton’s Senate Bill 17, a bill to end divisive Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) offices at Texas public colleges and universities.

Take action on the border
Texas must step up, especially when others stand down. Senator Lois Kolkhorst's SCR 23 passed the Senate last month 30-1, and Sen. Kolkhorst believes it still has a chance in the House. It is waiting for a hearing in the House State Affairs Committee.

USA
Mainstream media claims "no evidence" of Biden family corruption
At a May 10 press conference, the US House Oversight Committee revealed that it has obtained thousands of pages of financial records pointing to an extensive influence-peddling scheme involving nine members of the Biden family, including Joe Biden.

Yet, the New York Times headline on May 11 declared that the committee had found "no evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden." No one who watched the Oversight Committee press conference could say with a straight face that the GOP inquiry presented no evidence, but that's exactly what the nation's "paper of record" along with other leftist media outlets are trying to get the American public to believe.

Twitter user Chrissy Dupuy quipped, "NYT has gone from 'All the News That's Fit to Print' to 'Only News That Fits the Narrative.' And The Narrative is a lie."

Congresswoman Greene brings Articles of Impeachment against four top-ranking officials
Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) introduced a slew of Articles of Impeachment last week, calling it "Impeachment Week." Rep. Greene brought the Articles on four top ranking officials in the Biden Administration:

  • FBI Director Christopher Wray,
  • U.S. Attorney Matthew Graves,
  • Attorney General Merrick Garland, and
  • Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas.

On Tues., May 16, Representative Greene’s Impeachment Articles were directed toward FBI Director Christopher Wray. According to Rep. Greene, “Under Wray’s watch, the FBI has intimidated, harassed, and entrapped American citizens that have been deemed enemies of the Biden regime. As such, Director Wray has turned the FBI into Joe Biden and Merrick Garland’s personal police force.”
U.S. House passes the Secure the Border Act

The bill addresses issues regarding immigration and border security, including imposing limits to asylum eligibility. In addition to H.R.2, the GOP-controlled U.S. House recently passed H.R.2811, the Limit, Save, Grow Act.

Senator Cruz introduces legislation mandating use of border wall materials

The bill would require the federal government to use previously purchased and unused border wall panels to extend the wall along the southern border or transfer them to state governments to be used for wall construction.
