Spirit Day | Nov. 15th


On Fri. Nov. 15th, students are invited to dress down in EDS Spirit Wear in lieu of their school uniform. Dress down days include denim. Pease refer to the Uniform and Dress Guidelines in the EDS Community Handbook for allowable attire. If your student does have Spirit Wear, you still have time to shop. Don't wait too long to order- items take 10-12 days to arrive.

It's Simple to Be Green

Poster Contest


All K-8 students are invited to participate in the "It's Simple to be Green" Poster Contest. The deadline for submissions is November 15th. There will be one LS and one MS winner- each will win a $50 gift certificate to Ling Ling Restaurant compliments of the Fiona & Ethan He Family! You will find the guidelines below.

EDS Ski Club


Students in Grades PK-8 are invited to join the EDS Ski Club! Friday evenings, parents and children alike are invited to travel to Peek 'n' Peak after school to enjoy the slopes together. You will find family pricing and pass order information below. If your child(ren) and/or family members secure a pass, be sure to email ktyler@eriedayschool.com so we can record your names for the Peak and Peek educational partnership with the school.

Dress Down Day TOMORROW!

Fall Parties &

Costume Parade | Oct. 31st


Erie Day School’s annual Halloween parties and parade will be celebrated on Thursday, October 31st. The LS & MS parade is scheduled for 1:30 PM; Early Childhood is scheduled for 10 AM. Watch your email for details from your child’s teacher and/or PG Room Rep.


Literati Book Fair

Nov. 4th -8th


The Literati Book Fair is coming for a whole week! Parent Group is hosting this year’s event on Mon., Nov. 4th - Fri., Nov. 8th. Students will shop with their homeroom teachers and “buddies” during school hours. Parents are welcome to shop at drop-off and pick-up.

School Portrait Retake Day


Students wishing to have their school portrait retaken can do so on Mon., Nov. 4th. Students are welcome to ‘dress-up’ for their portraits or wear their regular Erie Day School uniform.

Grandparent & Special Friend Day Performance Rehearsal Nov. 7th


Parents are invited to the Grandparent & Special Friend Day Performance Rehearsal. Early Childhood and Kindergarten parents may come at 11:30 AM. Lower & Middle School parents may attend at 2:30 PM. Rehearsals will take place in the Henry Fish Gymnasium.

First Quarter Ends


The 1st quarter of EDS school year ends on Nov. 8th. Report cards will be published on Nov. 15th.

Erie Day School Recognition Tree



Erie Day School offers a unique opportunity for families to etch their legacy into the institution's history by purchasing a leaf for our Recognition Tree. Crafted by local artist Adam Stempka of Stempka Designs, this custom piece invites families to honor or remember a student, teacher, philanthropist, or special person or family with a laser-engraved birch leaf. The tree is located on the exterior wall at the Griffith Lobby entrance patio.
