Are You Okay?

The month of September may symbolize something different to each member. It is a birthday month, schools resume session for some states, Hispanic Heritage Month, Labor Day (first Monday in September), Patriot Day (September 11), National Grandparents Day (first Sunday after Labor Day), Fall officially begins, and National Coffee Day (September 29). The list can go on and on.

September is also National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and Self- Awareness Month. Two topics that we seldom sit down and discuss. It is important to understand the warning signs. This simple question may save a life. Are you okay?

Make a difference and get educated on these important topics as we work together to reduce the stigma within our community. Seeking help is okay and normal. It is important to understand that although you may feel a wide range of emotions you are not alone.

The NETworker of the Month

It gives me great pleasure to nominate Gregory Clark of External Affairs to be considered for the NETworker Award in recognition of his tireless efforts and outstanding leadership at AT&T.

Mr. Clark addresses and raises awareness about issues in our community. He has made a lasting and meaningful contribution to the community through his volunteer work. The nominee is an inspiration to others throughout the company and is very deserving of this award.

In closing, because of his efforts, Mr. Clark has not only earned this nomination award but also the respect and gratitude of those for whom and with whom he serves. As one of those peers whom he has inspired and motivated to service, I strongly urge you to award him this award.
