2024 Looks Promising

Hello Team SR!

Welcome to our Winter 2023 Edition of The Tradesman Newsletter.

I certainly hope that all of you had a Merry Christmas and enjoyed time with your families. Most of all, I'm hopeful it was a time of reflection on the true meaning of Christmas. We're blessed in so many ways, but our greatest blessing is the promise we have through our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

As we wrap up Calendar Year 2023 and reflect on the last 12 months, we have so much to be appreciative of. We’ve celebrated 50 years of business, earned many accolades across our various divisions, witnessed the strengthening of our safety culture, seen numerous examples of personal and business growth, led the way in raising awareness regarding careers in “The Trades,” and successfully provided our ESOP dividend payments for our retirements, as requested by our parent company, Houchens Industries, to name just a few achievements. All of this is achieved by the hardworking men and women of Stewart Richey, THANK YOU! The great news is that 2024 looks to be just as, if not more, promising...

What is a Heart Attack?

It occurs when the blood flow that brings oxygen to the heart muscle is severely reduced or stopped. The arteries slowly become thicker and harder from the buildup of fat, cholesterol, and plaque. If the plaque breaks open, a blood clot forms that blocks blood flow, and a heart attack occurs...

Project Spotlight:

Site Utilities and Mechanical

Join us as we explore the construction process behind Menards, a groundbreaking development that Stewart Richey has had the opportunity to be a part of, specifically within our Site Utilities division. Menards, a home improvement store, comprises over 300 stores. In a recent conversation with Mark Kinslow, the General Manager of Site Utilities, we discussed their involvement in the construction of the substantial 220,000-square-foot building in Bowling Green.

Mark explained that the site involves nearly 3 miles of utility piping, a significant undertaking for this division. The project operates at a high pace due to the company's demands, necessitating diligent work to ensure the completion of a majority of the job before the asphalt company closes for the winter.
