Our newsletter has a new name – or more accurately, a combination of old and new names. For decades, as far back as the 1960’s, the monthly newsletter of Christ Church has been named The Vineyard. Our weekly emailed bulletin was started in 2013 as a “current events” announcement format, and has been variously called “the Friday email,” the “Friday bulletin,” or “the Friday newsletter.” Now it’s time to give it a formal name – The Friday Vineyard, in recognition of our history and its weekly publication frequency. As a parallel name, we’ll call the printed service and announcement booklet distributed at the Sunday morning worship services The Sunday Bulletin. | |

Casserole Night at Grace Café
The fall semester is in full swing and so are the Grace Café Thursday dinners!
One way you can support this important outreach ministry is by making your favorite casserole for the September 28th meal. To sign up, please contact the church office to let us know what you’re bringing and any special instructions (heating temp, duration, ingredients, etc.). We will need an index card with a listing of the ingredients on it for each casserole. This will protect any students who have food allergies or sensitivities.

A Prayer for Ukraine
God of peace and justice, we pray for the people of Ukraine today. We pray for peace and the laying down of weapons. We pray for all those who fear for tomorrow, that your Spirit of comfort would draw near to them. We pray for those with power over war or peace for wisdom, discernment, and compassion to guide their decisions. Above all, we pray for all your precious children, at risk and in fear, that you would hold and protect them. We pray in the name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
Amen.
