Hello everybody!
At the masses this upcoming weekend for the Third Sunday of Advent, we will also be offering the opportunity to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick for those who are in need. The following weekend is the Fourth Sunday of Advent followed by Christmas on Monday. Because there have been some questions, the normal Sunday obligation can be fulfilled at the 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening or 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning masses. Christmas is also a holy day of obligation, which can be met beginning with the first anticipatory Christmas mass at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, Christmas Eve, or at the following 6:15 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. masses, or at the 10:00 a.m. mass on Christmas Day.
We have made great progress toward our goals for the Catholic Services Appeal! We are very near our dollar goal and 70% of the way to our participation goal. We are 159 donors away from reaching that goal, which puts us second in the Archdiocese, just behind our friendly rivals at St. Bernadette and their pastor, Fr. Jeff, The Older. Thanks to those who have already made a pledge or donation for your generosity in service to those in need in our wider community. If you have not yet done so, please pray about how God may desire to work through you to serve others. Thank you!
In the remaining weeks of Advent, may each of our hearts be prepared to receive anew the coming of Christ an to celebrate the birth of our savior. God bless you!
Peace,
Fr. Jeff, The Younger
