1. Understand the history of stress/anxiety, its impact on health, and the power of perception
2. Recognize the power of beliefs and preexisting ideas and their influence on behavior and physiological functioning
3. Identify the four types of stress response
4. Develop a new positive perspective of stress
5. Utilize stress to improve health and performance
