It’s Finally Here! Christmas

Vacation at SusanvilleStuff

With the rush of the holidays behind us it is time for Christmas vacation at SusanvilleStuff! Our offices will be closed until January 2nd as we take some time off to try and get ready for a spectacular New Year.

We will still be here to cover breaking news or stories that are important, plus we will still have some daily features like Smith Properties weather, LMUD’s This Day in History and other assorted year-end goodies we have planned for you.

Have a wonderful week everybody and we will see you again next year! Happy 2024!

Jeremy, Marshel, Terra, Shelley and Susan.

A Big Record

December 28, 1906

The month of December, 1906, has a big record in one respect at least. Last week about a foot and a half of wet, heavy snow fell in Susanville, and little remains upon our streets.

Rain has fallen with more or less regularity for the past week, at times a gentle drizzle, and at times a driving downpour.

The ground being in a receptive condition, most of this generous precipitation amounting to about five and a half inches for the month, as Observer Branham informs us, has been absorbed.

The prophets now, basing their theories upon the earliness and the extended duration of the late storm period, are prophesying a long spell of clear and pleasant weather.

Five and a half inches of rain is a big record for December.
