Dear Craig,

I hope your training is going well. This is your March runner update and is being sent to both runners in the race and on the wait list.

Bib Assignments

You may have seen that bib assignments have been made (entrants list and wait list). I tried to accommodate your bib number requests. If you didn't get what you requested, know that somebody else also requested it.

Pacer Matchup

If you are in need of a pacer you can use the portal to find people willing to pace or post that you are looking for a pacer. Login to portal.wser.org for that service.

General Information Form

While you are in the portal, you can fill out the general information form which will be used by the live broadcast team and the announcer at the track when you run the final 250 meters of the race. This is a good opportunity to recognize the people who have helped you reach your goals.

Trail Work

We have posted 2024 trail work opportunities. There are 6 opportunities prior to the race and 4 weekend opportunities in Granite Chief Wilderness after the race.

Mosquito Ridge Rd and Crew Access

Last year the main access road to our southern aid stations in the upper part of the course was closed due to the Mosquito Fire and subsequent atmospheric river storms. This resulted in no crew access to Duncan Canyon and Dusty Corners. While Mosquito Ridge Rd is still closed for repairs it is expected to be opened before the race. Unless we get some crazy storms in the next few months that prevents the work from being completed, you can expect to have normal crew access on race weekend.

Snowpack

We usually don't look at the snowpack for yearly comparisons until April 1 which is generally the peak of the depth. At this point in the middle of March the snowpack is looking to be about average. I expect that snow won't be an issue for the race.

Enjoy the journey to Olympic Valley.
