41 Street Water Main Replacement Project

Project Advisory: Wednesday, March 6, 2024

Project Overview & Benefits

The City of Miami Beach is replacing the aerial water main along 41 Street between Pine Tree Drive and Collins Avenue. This project was prioritized in the city's master plan and will upgrade the existing infrastructure to a 20-inch pipe via Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). Once completed, the new pipe will provide the necessary flow capacity to support increasing demands along Collins Avenue.

What's Happening

The proposed water main will connect to the existing main on Pine Tree Drive, Indian Creek Drive, and Collins Avenue. Please be advised that additional project details are forthcoming.

Once construction is completed, road, curb, and sidewalk repairs will be performed to restore the area to pre-existing conditions.

Timeline

This project is expected to begin in mid-April 2024 and conclude in September 2024.

City staff are collaborating closely with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) on their upcoming Bridge Repair Project to ensure that timelines do not overlap.
