DEAR DR. LIANG
Munson Road used to have a location for patients to pay bills. As all doors to Munson are badge access only and the main door has no receptionist or phone number to use to reach the office that accepts patient payments, where do they go? Is there still a payment office near the cafeteria in the main building? Also, this information needs to be available to anyone who might be approached to find the ‘payment location’ like the UConn Police Department. Would it be possible to let all know where patients can pay their bill?
Thank you for your questions, which I’ve shared with members of our finance leadership. They report that there are many options for our patients to securely make payments:

  • Pay online through our website.
  • Pay online via your MyChart account.
  • Pay at the point of service when checking in for your appointment (credit cards only).
  • Pay over the phone by calling customer service: 860-679-6387.
  • Schedule an appointment to make an in-person payment at 16 Munson Road with customer service: 860-679-6387.

Additionally, we’re excited to share that patients can now set up zero-interest payment plans directly through our website as well as within MyChart or by calling our customer service department at 860-679-6387.

Cash payments will continue to be accepted in the emergency department.

Thank you for your concerns on behalf of our patients. This offers a good opportunity for us to raise our own awareness of the payment options so we can guide our patients.
