The Tee Shirt Store is a custom apparel printing company that offers a 30-hour entrepreneurship course for grades 4-12. The program teaches entrepreneurship skills while giving youth a way to apply knowledge and earn from what they’ve learned on their custom apparel website. The Tee Shirt Store is currently working with school districts and organizations throughout the country like the Boys and Girls Club to provide scholarships to cover $1,920 in cost per student. There are 50 scholarships to you for your students while the scholarships are available.

Equitable Strategies to Support Recruitment, Retention, and Rejuvenation of a Strong OST Workforce


Out-of-School Time (OST) plays a critical role in supporting working families and in providing children and youth with meaningful relationships, enrichment activities, and social and emotional learning (SEL), which lead to positive developmental outcomes.

This brief from the National Center on Afterschool and Summer Enrichment provides information, research, and examples of equitable strategies to support recruitment, retention, and rejuvenation of the Out-of-School Time (OST) workforce, a top concern for OST programs.

Setting the Stage: Practical Ideas for Implementing High-Quality Afterschool Arts Programs


Afterschool programs looking to add high-quality arts learning to their programming might do well to keep three practices in mind: Employ professional teaching artists, provide current, high-quality equipment, and create dedicated art spaces that welcome and inspire.



These practices are essential to enriching arts experiences that engage young people. They may entail higher costs than what an organization currently spends on arts programs. But these costs may not be vastly different from the costs of sports, STEM, or other programs.

Highlights the Potential of Quality Summer Learning

The Wallace Foundation released a short film that seeks to answer the question what does it take to run a high-quality summer program that young people want to attend? In this project, Wallace has showcased communities in Woodward, Oklahoma, and Akron, Ohio, who are working to write a new narrative—one that makes summer a time for growth for all kids.
