Congratulations to our newest Habitat homeowner, Karen, who closed on her mortgage in December 2023! Karen's dedication and hard work have turned her dream of homeownership into a beautiful reality for herself and her children. In September alone, she logged an incredible 80+ hours of sweat equity. Wow!! | |
Karen's closing on the final home in our Trail View signifies the successful culmination of our second Bloomington neighborhood. Trail View began in 2015, and over the past few years, what began with two families has grown into a vibrant community, now comprising 34 Habitat families. We look forward to continuing to witness the continued flourishing of this community as it becomes a cherished part of the fabric of Bloomington. | |

In December, we had the absolute pleasure of hosting 8 dedicated students from the University of Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity Student Chapter! From shingles to siding and painting, they worked tirelessly and brought joy and laughter to the worksite of two Habitat homes. | |

Their incredible efforts culminated in completing the painting of the downstairs area in Cherri's future home, with special mention to the grandchildren's rooms—Olivia's Purely Purple and Lillianna's Reef Coral. Both Olivia and Lillianna earned their own sweat equity hours, allowing them to personally choose the colors that now make their rooms uniquely theirs
