UPDATE TO BRIDGE CLOSURE

DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - In addition to the previously distributed notice (below), the left lane of the new/southbound Belle Chasse Bridge on LA 23 is also closed due to ice. The project will continue to send updates as they become available.

Previous notice: Ice has been detected on the Belle Chasse Bridge's northbound LA 23 lanes (otherwise known as the "old" Belle Chasse Bridge). Therefore, the northbound Belle Chasse Bridge is closed. Motorists should avoid this route. The project will update the public of changes to this status as they occur.
