🚨LAST CALL Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training:
February 10th 🚨
Don't miss out on Scoutmaster / Assistant Scoutmaster Leader Specific Training on February 10th! This training is required for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters. The cost is FREE and includes water, light refreshments, and "Trained" patches for leaders who have completed all training requirements for their position. Registration closes February 7th!
Committee Member / Committee Chair Workshop:
February 24th
Does your Unit have challenges it could use help with? Could your Unit’s Committee function more smoothly, more efficiently, more seamlessly with “uniformed” leaders? Could a network of Leaders from other Unit Committees help you with any of the above? ALL parents and leaders connected with the BSA, especially current and future Committee Chairs and Committee Members, are invited to attend this special open discussionworkshop on February 24th!
Cub Scout Program Update Orientation Session:
February 15th
Changes are coming to the Cub Scout Program, and on February 15th, starting promptly at 7:00pm at the Heart of Virginia Leadership Center, there will be an OrientationSession for Roundtable Commissioners, Staff and the individuals who have been identified in each district who will either be a trainer or resource for units on the Cub Scout Program changes are encouraged to attend.
Buckskin: The Leadership Experience Registration is Open!
Buckskin is an immersive leadership experience for Scouts BSA Troops in the Heart of Virginia Council. Buckskin offers a 360 degree leadership experience that integrates classroom teaching with hands-on practice and reinforcement. This exciting combination will equip your Scout with the tools, experience, confidence, and enthusiasm needed to make a difference as a leader in their troop and their community. Mark your calendars for July 21st - 27th, 2024!
You are cordially invited to attend this year’s celebration of those Eagle Scouts who have climbed the trail and reached its highest summit. All Scouts who have earned Eagle in 2023 are invited, with their parents and Scoutmaster, free of charge. Each Eagle Scout in attendance will receive an embroidered Eagle Scout sling bag, to commemorate their achievement. Register for a campus tour, sign-up to serve in the Life Scout Honor Guard, and become a sponsor.
