MESSAGE FROM DR. NATHAN STURTZEL, PRINCIPAL | |
Hello, everyone!
If you haven't heard, this week marks our annual celebration of Catholic education, Catholic Schools Week, and we are surely celebrating! This week is an opportunity to reflect on the mission of our universal Church through education, and the wonderful gifts so many share to make this endeavor something profoundly spiritual and life-giving. For all reading this newsletter today, you have had some hand in the gift of Catholic education at St. Patrick. Thank you for sharing your many gifts from God and living out the gospel for the benefit of our youth! I was blessed with the opportunity to reflect briefly on what makes our Catholic school special in this past week's bulletin, which you can read HERE. Most notably, St. Patrick is highlighted by our faith-focused learning, a tradition of excellence, a holistic approach to education, a commitment to service, and strong community bonds.
None of this would be possible without our talented and dedicated faculty and staff. They are inspirational and care deeply about the students they serve! We are humbled by the families choosing St. Patrick for their child's education, and we strive to make a difference in their lives each day. I also want to thank the many volunteers in our various ministries, from parish committees to CAM and PTO. Their gifts of time and talent have a huge impact on the success of our students.
If you see a St. Patrick student this week, consider asking them about how we celebrated. You may hear about pajama and skating parties, literary cake auctions, candy locker drawings, a special Mass, crazy hair and socks, and the annual Staff vs. Student Volleyball Match.
Go Celtics, and Happy Catholic Schools Week!
