Petawawa Postal Workers Impacted by Labour Disruption


Some small businesses in Petawawa rely on Canada Post to ship products to customers. With the ongoing Canada Post strike, you can help these businesses by shopping in-store or choosing in-person pickup from local shops, vendors, and crafters. Alternative shipping methods for businesses include UPS, FedEx and Puralator.

Supporting Veteran Businesses in Petawawa

The Town of Petawawa Economic Development Department is proud to support veteran-owned businesses. On Saturday, November 9th, 2024, during veterans week, a veterans business expo was hosted at the Petawawa Civic Centre featuring 20 unique veteran vendors. The Town of Petawawa also offers a veteran banner initiative for veteran owned businesses. As part of this program, veteran owned businesses are able to notify Town staff if they would like to receive a banner to display at their storefront indicating they are veteran owned. The banners hang in storefronts throughout the month of November. To receive a veteran owned business banner, please reach out to the Town of Petawawa Economic Development Department.

Apply for FedDev Ontario Business Grants: This program offers non-repayable contributions ranging from $125,000 to $10 million for projects that focus on clean growth, technology, industrial transition, and automotive sector transformation, aiming to support scaling, productivity, and market expansion​. Petawawa Seeking Graphic Designer for Rebranding

The Town of Petawawa is seeking qualified firms to help redesign and refresh its main logo, along with adaptable event-specific versions to enhance our brand identity across all promotional needs. Newcomer Survey - Local Immigration Partnership

The Local Immigration Partnership of Renfrew and Lanark Counties are gathering insights from immigrants to better understand their experiences and create more welcoming, inclusive communities. The Newcomer Survey is the first step, collecting data on how newcomers feel during their transition. The survey is open to residents aged 16 and older who were born outside of Canada and now living and working in Renfrew and Lanark County. The survey takes about 10-15 minutes to complete, with participants having a chance to win one of five $200 gift cards.

Petawawa Tailgate Market - Merry & Bright Festival

The Petawawa Holiday Tailgate Market is a festive event to kick off the holiday season! Enjoy a variety of vendors offering unique gifts and crafts, delicious food from White Pine Bison, and beverages from Dog House Brewing Company. The evening will sparkle with ice sculptures and a grand tree lighting ceremony. Don't miss the Santa Claus parade that will also be passing by!
