DuSable is most well-known for founding a settlement in the late 1770's where immigrants, traders and Native Americans all lived together in peace and on equal footing. This settlement is today's multi-ethnic and diverse City of Chicago.
In addition to his work at DuSable Heritage Association, Mr. Cantave serves as Secretary of DuSable Park Advisory Council and chairs the Public Policy and Advocacy Committee for the Coalition of Haitian American Organizations in the Chicagoland Area.
Get ready to be enriched and enthralled by his stories covering the life and legacy of Jean-Baptiste Pointe DuSable. Don't miss this special presentation at the February 3rd Call to Peace!
