ISSUE #9: Wild Dogs & The E-Race Extinction Event

I'm excited to once again be partnering with Stop Poaching Now! Los Angeles, for our 4th 'Global E-Race Extinction' event that benefits the boots-on-the-ground wildlife organizations working daily to protect Africa and Asia's endangered wildlife. We're showcasing their incredible work!

If you can't join us for this event, I'm excited to invite you to another event happening this Saturday April 13th that I'm hosting.

Details are provided below.

The purpose of our "Global E-Race Wildlife Extinction Event" is to bring awareness to the various conservation issues that are threatening both wildlife and local communities from co-existing peacefully within the same landscape.

Join participants from around the world on Sunday, April 28th, 2024 for our E-RACE WALK, RIDE, RUN Event.

We partner with 8 extraordinary wildlife organizations, aka; the brave men and women who are working tirelessly to protect the most vulnerable and endangered wildlife from becoming extinct. This category includes the iconic rhino, elephant, lion, wild dog, pangolin, snow leopard, and more. Together, we learn how we can contribute, and support these ground teams.

Profits made by your participation directly benefit the teams that rely on funding.

A little info below on each partner:

Project Rhino is an association of leading conservation agencies, state and community game reserves, rhino owners, and anti-poaching specialists working together to conserve South Africa’s wildlife.

Blood Lions started off as a winning documentary and quickly grew into an international campaign to expose the exploitation of lions in tourism, including cub petting, walking with lions, and volunteers for tourism. The Blood Lions story is a compelling call to action to stop these practices and close the industry down. https://bloodlions.org/

Wildlife Now has over forty years in the field of African wildlife conservation. They work to re-establish ecosystems e- protect endangered African wildlife and develop partnerships with local villages.

Tips and Facts About the African Bush:

  • Don’t walk around at night. Ever. The predators rule at night and even in the daytime, there could be a leopard in the treetops right above you!

  • Take your trash with you. Bring a small brown paper bag with you on your daily game drives.

  • Water is extremely scarce in many African countries; take short showers rather than baths, reuse towels, and turn off taps when brushing your teeth.

  • Don’t leave your lights on in your tent – this will conserve energy and avoid attracting bugs. :)

  • Because these places are less polluted with light, the night skies are phenomenal and truly come alive every night! The South Pole points to the galactic centre of the Milky Way, which means you'll see more bright stars and constellations than in the Northern Hemisphere!

Stay adventurous and jump in a safari vehicle with me!
