GGUSD Students Dazzle in Little Mermaid Performance

Audiences are being swept away by GGUSD's magical production of Disney's The Little Mermaid! Talented students from all GGUSD high schools are bringing this beloved classic to life on the stage of Pacifica High School's Performing Arts Center. This production features stunning sets, dazzling choreography, and unforgettable performances!

Northcutt Students Enjoy Bubble Run

Northcutt Elementary students put on their running shoes yesterday for some fun and fitness during the school's Bubble Run fundraiser, which was organized by Northcutt's awesome PTA. Students were all smiles as they ran through the bubbles, competing for prizes and having fun at the same time!

GGUSD Hosts Indian Education Family Night

Families attended GGUSD's Indian Education Family Night with American Indian storytelling, performances, and artifact display at Patton Elementary School. It was a wonderful way to celebrate American Indian culture and traditions.

Simmons Welcomes Superintendent for Sixth Grade Assembly

Simmons Elementary School welcomed Superintendent Dr. Gabriela Mafi last week to help kick off the school's College and Career Mentoring Program (CCMP) which pairs sixth grade students with GGUSD graduates who are attending college for a unique mentorship experience!


This mentorship program won a Golden Bell Award from the California School Board Association in 2020 and continues to be a wonderful support to sixth grade students. CCMP also supports the district's goals of equipping students with the academic skills (Goal 1) and personal skills (Goal 2) for lifelong success (Goal 3). #GGUSDPride #GGUSDGoalGetters

Ralston Staff Celebrates PBIS Gold Status

Ralston Intermediate School is proud to celebrate the school's recognition as a GOLD School for PBIS implementation.


Ralston's implementation reflects excellence in the core features of PBIS, including the reinforcement of the school's 3 Rs (Ready, Respectful, Responsible), as well as recognizing student success with Pride Cash, providing interventions to students as needed, and support from the school's PBIS Team and Care Team.


Ralston staff is committed to creating an environment to maximize students' academic and social-emotional-behavioral growth for ALL student's lifelong success. 

GGUSD Hosts Parent Workshop on Drug Prevention and Social Media

GGUSD families are invited to a Presentation on Drug Prevention and Social Media led by Clayton Cranford, a leading expert in social media safety and preventing risky behavior in children. The event will be held on Monday, October 23 at Bolsa Grande High School with a Resource Fair from 5 to 6 p.m. and the presentation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Parents may attend in person or via zoom. Childcare will be provided for children ages 2 to 10 and interpretation will be provided in Spanish, Vietnamese and Korean. GGUSD Hosts Upcoming Job Fair on October 26

GGUSD is hosting a Job Fair on Thursday, October 26th from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. to promote in-demand job opportunities at our award-winning school district. The Job Fair will be held at Lincoln Education Center, 11262 Garden Grove Blvd. in Garden Grove.


Those who attend can learn about existing opportunities to work in GGUSD, speak one-on-one with hiring managers, and complete applications on site. Some of the opportunities include Food Service Workers, Instructional Aides, Substitute Teachers, Spanish School Community Liaisons, Special Education Instructional Assistant II, and more.



GGUSD is known for our amazing professional culture where employees feel like family, as well as our robust professional development, and competitive salary and benefits packages.


We hope to attract members of our school communities, GGUSD graduates, and area parents who may want to work in their local neighborhood school and enjoy the flexibility of positions like Food Service Workers and School Liaisons.
