Meet Your 2024 Chapter Leadership!
Every month, we'll introduce you to a member of the Madison Chapter's leadership team. This month, get to know our Treasurer, Megan Diggles!
Q: How and when did you start golfing?
A: I started golfing when I started at my current role with Park Bank about 2 years ago. I was told if I wanted to be a banker, I better learn to play!

Q: When did you join the LPGA Amateurs and how long have you been on the Board of Directors?
A: I joined LPGA Amateurs last year and am brand new to the board.

Q: What is your favorite golf memory?
A: My favorite golf memory was this past year at Nakoma Golf Course. I was playing a scramble at the Ronald McDonald House Charities event with a team of my women coworkers. It was my first time playing with a team of all women I work with, and we had such a blast!

Q: What is something on your golf bucket list?
A: My bucket list item is to play a course outside of Wisconsin!

Q: What is your favorite thing about the Madison chapter?
A: My favorite thing about the Madison chapter is that I get more opportunities to play all the courses near me and meet other women who live in the Madison area, as well.

Q: What do you enjoy doing when you’re not golfing?
A: I like to spend time with my family, cook new meals, and work on puzzles.

Instructional Clinics with Change Golf Instruction
We are partnering with Sue Shapcott, PhD, PGA of GB&I and the instructors of Change Golf Instruction to offer learning clinics in May at pricing exclusive to LPGA Amateurs Madison members!

For only $20, you will receive small group instruction with a teaching professional in one of the following areas:
  • Swing mechanics
  • Pitching and sand
  • Chipping and putting
  • Driving

You can register for one area that needs improvement, or register for all of them to overhaul your entire golf game!

View clinic dates and register through the Change Golf Instruction website here!
Format of the Month
Learn to play a new format of golf, stableford! Stableford is great for team or individual play and can be handicapped.

Stableford is a form of stroke play where players are awarded points based on their score each hole, rather than counting strokes. The round is won by the player or team with the most points.

For example:
Double bogey or worse=0 points
Bogey=1point
Par=2 points
Birdie=3 points
Eagle=4 points

Find more information on this rule, including how to take an unplayable ball in bunkers, at the USGA website!
