Autism 101 -- Hybrid Program Join In-Person or Virtual

Did your child recently receive an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis? Or, are you trying to navigate new territory with a child previously diagnosed? How can you best support your child in whatever stage they are currently in? Join Nathan Morgan, MSSA, LSW, of Milestones Autism Resources, as they present facts, debunk myths and provide the most up-to-date terminology currently available on ASD informed by their experiences as both a licensed social worker and autism self-advocate. Each autistic person is unique. Learn about differing strengths, lagging skills and accommodating ever-changing support needs.

City of Green Adaptive Sports Field

The City of Green has teamed up with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, a national non-profit organization, for the oversight and management of the installation of an adaptive and ADA-compliant youth multi-purpose field at Kleckner Park, 4820 Thursby Rd. This is the first adaptive sports field to be built as part of the Green Park system. It is also the first adaptive sports field built by the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation in Ohio.

The adaptive sports field uses specifically designed synthetic turf providing barrier free access to children with mobility issues.

The field will be home to the Green Baseball & Softball Federation Challenger program and the Green Soccer Association GOAL program for children with disabilities as well as adaptive programs throughout Summit and Stark counties.
