2024 Operetta - Friday, March 8
Join us today Friday, March 8, at either 1:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium to see Grades 1-4 perform the operetta “Go Fish” a tale about a shark who wants to be friends with everyone. There is no cost to attend, but a free-will offering will be taken.
March is Reading Month!
Our St. Paul School is planning some fun activities for Reading Month in March, and we will have weekly prize drawings. We are looking for $5 gift card donations (e.g. Five Below, Target, McDonalds, Culver's, Walmart), or monetary donations. Please contact Andrea Dent if you have any questions.

Wednesday Evening Lenten services begin on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024 and that means Lenten Suppers are coming your way.

Tri-Cities Good Friday Service - Joint Choir
Please join us in the joint choir for the Tri-Cities Good Friday service. Everyone is welcome, regardless of the number of rehearsals you can make. We will be rehearsing at St. John, Amelith on the following dates:
March 16 @ 1 pm
March 23 @ 1 pm
March 26 @ 6 pm
The service is on Good Friday at 1 pm at Horizons.
Easter Lilies
“This year, Easter lilies and other spring flowers can be purchased by individuals in the congregation. A sign-up sheet & payment box are in the Ministry Center to purchase Easter plants. Checks can be made payable to Begick Nursery. If you have any questions, please call or text Jean Begick (989-928-6192). Flowers will adorn the chancel area on March 31st for the Resurrection of our Lord; memorials will be printed in that bulletin. The deadline to order is March 14th.”
Save a Pizza, Feed a Youth!
The Sunday Night Youth Group is recruiting culinary capable congregants willing to provide a meal for 8-12 people (teenagers and leaders). We have a sign-up poster on display by the Youth Room to select a date and provide meal details. Food allergies are listed as well. SNYG starts at 5:00 every Sunday unless noted. This will add some diversity to their Sundays. Thank you for your continued support of the Youth Group!
Carla Schumacher
Carla Schumacher passed away yesterday, Monday, February 26 from bone cancer. She and her husband Joel served St. Paul in the 1970's at the school and their boys - Michael, Mark, and Tim went to school there. Mike and Mark also began at VLHS until they went to Minnesota summer of 1978. If anyone wishes to give remembrances or condolences to the boys and their family you may write to Jim Schumacher at 3464 Clover Lane, Bay City, MI 48706 and he will pass them along. Eugene is recovering at the HealthSource Rehab Center.
Call Received
Miss Lisa Stanley has received a Call to serve as the First Grade teacher at Bethany Lutheran School in Parma, OH. Please keep her in your prayers as she considers the position. Pray for clarity, discernment, and peace. Lisa will be visiting Bethany on Friday, March 8.
St. Patrick's Day Parade
Last call! March 17th at 2 pm St. Paul will participate in Bay City's St. Patrick's Day Parade. Our float theme is Wizard of Oz because "There's No Place Like St. Paul!" Feel free to wear Wizard of Oz themed items (if you have any), St. Paul shirts, or green.
Contact Kristen Glasser at 989-529-2962 by March 11th to participate. Limit of 25 children riding on the float. Older children may walk with their parent. A waiver must be signed in the school office prior to the event and a parent is required to accompany their child.

Easter Egg Hunt is planned for Saturday, March 23

Tri-City Good Friday Service
Please plan to attend the Tri-City Good Friday Service, March 29 at 1:00 p.m.at the Horizon's Conference Center, 6200 State Street, in Saginaw, MI. This year, unfortunately, we will not be having the Cross Walk. An invitation is extended to men or women who are interested in ushering for the service. We're looking for 2 to 4 people from each congregation. Please contact Margie Begick, at 989-686-0578 or email, begickm@gmail.com. for more information. We would like you to be there 30 to 45 minutes early to receive your row assignments and name tags. Also please bring a collection plate.

Sub Sale Fundraiser - Thank You

Stewardship - An Act of Faith
Ephesians 2:10 – “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Even the good we do in this world is a gift from God, prepared beforehand for us to do. And this too is a gift! For isn’t doing good also a good thing for the one who does it? So from first to last, from the Lord’s free salvation given to us to the good works He’s prepared for us, everything is a gift of God’s grace.
