Our Torah portion this week, Vayeishev: Genesis 37:1 - 40:23, recounts the story of Joseph's adventures from Jacob's favorite son to Pharoah's prisoner. The unusual circumstances of the conception of Perez, a progenitor of the Messianic line of David, interrupts the Joseph narrative. Throughout all the twists and turns described in this snapshot of Jewish history, one idea remains constant: the future of humankind and the coming of the redemptive age depends upon generational integrity. Human beings convey the great experience of human spiritual evolution, and only born children can continue to impel us forward. Torturing to death millions and millions of pre-born babies destroys human destiny.
We enjoyed an inspiring, lively discussion during our December Monthly Mishpacha. Our Mishpacha includes pro-life, thoughtful, intelligent, Jews and non-Jews. Please join us on January 7th to add your voice to the mix.

.......today’s secular Jews. They’re afraid of religion because they associate it with past Christian and current Islamic antisemitism. To them, only the state offers a refuge—and because of superb leftist propaganda after World War II, they’re too ignorant to understand that both Hitler and Stalin (who led huge anti-Jewish pogroms) based their actions on socialist principles, for Marx built socialism into his theories. Conservative Jews, on the other hand, understand that conservative American Christians, the Bible, and the Constitution are a bulwark against 2,000 years of genocidal madness.
