BCS LIBRARY SYSTEM INTRODUCES NEW 'LISTEN AND READ ALONG' BOOKS

The Bryan + College Station Public Library System is excited to introduce VOX Books, a multi-sensory reading experience, allowing young readers to listen to audio while enjoying the book. 


These durable and rechargeable books capture a child's attention, making learning and literacy development enjoyable. VOX Books, available in multiple languages, are free to check out for library cardholders at Clara B. Mounce Public Library.


Join us for a kickoff carnival at Mounce Library on Saturday, Jan. 27, from 1–3 p.m. The event will feature kid-friendly games, stories, snacks, and a photo booth.

PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES WINS EIGHTH CONSECUTIVE EXCELLENCE AWARD

Our Planning and Development Services Department received the 2023 Richard R. Lillie, FAICP Planning Excellence Recognition Program from the Texas Chapter of the American Planning Association for the eighth consecutive year. The City of Bryan is one of 46 municipalities throughout Texas to be recognized.


This award acknowledges the department’s high professional planning standards and strong support from the City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission. It is presented to departments in the state that increase community awareness of the importance of planning, aid in economic development, assist with the overall community image, and support educational development for staff and appointed planning officials.
