On March 8th, 1924 the first election of the Village of Huntington Bay was held to elect William J. Taylor as President. That title was eventually changed to Mayor several years later. George P. Adamson and M.B. Snevily were elected Trustees Howard M. Taylor was elected Treasurer and and Milton L'Ecluse elected Collector.

On March 12th,1924 the first meeting of the Board of Trustees was held. The early meetings were held in New York City or at the Huntington Yacht Club as Village Hall was not built until 1926
