Christmas Toys for Children

At the Pleasant Hill Chamber Holiday Mixer, WDBCCC Exec. Director Tamia Brown connected with Alex Khodadad of Delphi Realty in Pleasant Hill. Mr. Khodadad told her about their successful toy drive and asked if she knew where they could find children in need.


Tamia shared that Rubicon Programs, a WDBCCC partner, was collecting toys for their Fathers Advancing Communities Together (FACT) program. WDBCCC and Rubicon staff picked up a delightful array of toys for the Christmas toy drive, even bumping into Santa along the way!

WDB Participates on Workforce Development Board Panel

On Dec. 8, WDBCCC Exec. Director Tamia Brown participated as a panelist on the California Regions at Work Conference – Workforce Development Board Panel.


The panel explored partnerships between workforce development boards and community colleges, aiming to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across regional labor markets.


Panelists discussed policy, shared successful partnership strategies, and discussed challenges to overcome. Facilitating the insightful discussion was Bob Lanter, Executive Director of the California Workforce Association (CWA).
