A Letter from Principal Bowen

I encourage you to get out and VOTE this upcoming week!  Please join us for the Community Dinner on March 4th @ 5:00PM at our Bethel Campus. Childcare will be provided!  The School Budget Vote is at 6:00PM.

A big congratulations to all of our school spellers that worked hard to spell for their classroom spelling bees and our greater whole campus spelling bees!  We know that Emma, Gabriel, Faith, Zoe and Aurianna will represent us well at the State level Spelling Bee!

Check out some of the amazing things happening in Second Grade on our campuses.  Also check out what is happening in Music!

A Letter from Principal Laflamme

I noted in the last newsletter that the temperatures were starting to rise, allowing our students to have more outdoor experiences. I had no idea at the time that we would be in sugaring season returning just after the February/Winter break! Students have tapped several trees and have begun boiling, learning all about the sweetest of Vermont traditions. A special thank you to Bonna Wieler and all she does to connect our students to their environment and Vermont roots.

The Friday before vacation WRVHS went on their winter outing. Our outings give our school community an opportunity to be outside and learn new activities while making some great connections.

A Letter from the WRUD School Board

The WRUD Board met on Thursday, February 15 at the Bethel Campus. We celebrated the many exciting things happening in our schools.  The faculty professional development has been outstanding.  We are proud to have life-long learners setting an example for our students.  A big “Thank You” to our food service staff for providing “second chance breakfast”.   There has been a 50% rise in students getting breakfast.  The middle school is reaching out to the Bethel Historical Society to collaborate on a Memorial Day essay contest.  The Flexible Pathways program has invited former students to come in and speak with students about their career paths.  The transitional math program in the high school has been so successful that students have actually thanked Mr. Thomas for providing it.  And last but not least, congratulations to Tanner Drury for scoring her 1000th high school career point in front of a packed gym.
