Come join Faculty Fellow Karen Layou for a bit of spring cleaning in your Canvas shells! Have you ever noticed extra copies of files in your Canvas shells? Or maybe there are multiples of old modules, discussion boards, rubrics, or old assignments you don’t use any more? Karen will be available to help you sort through your Canvas shell, delete unnecessary items, and provide tips on streamlining the course copy process. This is a great opportunity to prepare for the second 7-week sessions! No need to sign up – just bring your computer and drop in!
*Directions: From the Massey Library Technology Center (LTC) lobby head up the stairs and turn right. Follow the signs to our triangle. First room on your right.

Modules: Unpublish Module Only
In Modules, instructors have the option to unpublish a module only. This option is available in the Publish All drop-down menu and individual module drop-down menus.
This functionality allows instructors to unpublish the module while leaving items within the module still published.

Come join us and discover a wealth of open educational resources available through the VIVA Textbook Faculty Portal, the Open Textbook Library as well as other OER repositories. During this session, you will learn about navigating OER repositories and metafinders to find resources for your classes, previewing and requesting textbooks through the VIVA Textbook Faculty Portal, formats available through the Open Textbook Library, creative commons licenses, best practices for attributing resources, and VIVA Open Adoption and Course grants.

Would you like to learn how to access grant funding? Are you thinking about submitting a proposal to the Teaching Innovation Fund but don’t know where to start? Join Sean Terrell, Associate Vice President of Research, Planning, and Grants on Tuesday, March 5th from 1:00pm – 2:30pm in (Room #) and learn the tips and tricks to writing a compelling grant proposal. In this session, we will explore public and private funding and learn how to respond to Request for Proposals competitively, increasing the likelihood of success. We will use the Teaching Innovation Fund Request for Proposals to sharpen your grant writing skills and give you the confidence to write compelling narratives and secure funding. In-person and virtual attendance is welcome!
