Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,


Thank you to all who helped us celebrate Rising Tide's 25th Anniversary at the Gala and the Family Day last week. We hope to see many of you at the next big student and family event, the Rising Tide Homecoming Day, on October 21 in support of our student athletes.

Upcoming Events

Wednesday, October 4: The National Honor Society will host a bake sale to benefit breast cancer research. October is breast cancer awareness month.


Wednesday, October 4: The Rising Tide Parent Group will hold its next meeting at 6:30 p.m. in-person and online.


Wednesday, October 11: SAT testing will take place at 7:45 a.m.


Friday, October 20: Rising Tide will host a social event from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. for students in grades five and six.


Saturday, October 21: All families are invited to attend our Homecoming event taking place at Sacred Heart School in Kingston. Our soccer and volleyball teams will be playing. The event will begin at 12:30 p.m., and games will start at 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.


Wednesday, October 25: Rising Tide will be hosting the PSAT/NMSQT exam for 10th and 11th graders at 7:45 a.m.


Friday, October 27: Rising Tide will host a social event from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. for students in grades seven and eight.

Update from the Nurse's Office

For those interested, each Rising Tide family can receive four free COVID-19 tests that will be shipped out on October 2 to your home. For more information, click here.

Update from the Parent Group

Rising Tide's Athletics Store is Open

The Rising Tide Athletics Gear Store is now open for Rising Tide athletics merchandise. The store will be open until midnight on October 6.

College Visits This Week

Representatives from college admissions offices visit Rising Tide to meet with students throughout the fall. These meetings take place during upper school lunch and are open to upper school students in all grades. Visitors for this week include:

Recent Happenings At Rising Tide

Rising Tide Celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a Gala and Fun Fest

Aviation at Rising Tide

Rising Tide students participating in the Aviation Maintenance Technology Pathways Program had their first lab day last Wednesday. They moved a plane and tied it down!

Clubs Showcase

Last Thursday, there was an Upper School Club Showcase. The Annual Club Showcase is an opportunity for Rising Tide's student leaders of each club to recruit new members and to share their good work with the community.

Cranberry Bog Owners Visit Fifth Graders

Mr. and Mrs. Remes, second-generation Carver bog owners, visited our students to share materials, stories, and answer questions about cranberries. The students made “bogs in a cup,” which were filled with clay, peat, sand, and living vines. Hopefully, they will produce fruit in two years!

Fifth- and Sixth-Grade Students Build Compost Bins

In gardening, our fifth and sixth graders are building compost bins from old pallets with the help of the amazing Mr. Clark. Students used drills and measuring tape to complete the project.
