Sneak into our Speakeasy Theatre!

Step into the world of mystery and excitement at Speakeasy Theater! Join us for an exclusive experience where you can purchase and enjoy a drink while immersing yourself in a secret, one-act play. After the show, mingle and connect during our social hour. New shows are presented each month.


Director Tyler Skafgaard presents a different performance each month. Whether you’re a fan of intimate theater, love sharing drinks with friends or simply want to support local community art, Speakeasy Theater at Devonshire Playhouse is the place to be!

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street

Stephen Sondheim's and Hugh Wheeler's tasty, thrilling, Tony Award-winning theatrical treat has simultaneously shocked, awed and delighted audiences across the world. In this infamous black comedy, Sweeney Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to nineteenth-century London, seeking unspeakable vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife.


The show is staged by the Devonshire Teen Performers.
