Colorado State University Pueblo Announces New Director of Campus Safety

PUEBLO, COLORADO – Colorado State University Pueblo is proud to announce Todd Whittemore as the inaugural Director of Campus Safety, a newly expanded role with a focus on campus safety planning and security. With over a decade of law enforcement experience, Whittemore previously served as a corporal with the Pueblo Police Department and has a breadth of experience in safety education and management and large-scale event security.

“In addition to being an experienced law enforcement officer, Todd brings substantial educational credentials to this position,” Vice President of Operations and Advancement, Dr. Donna Souder Hodge, explained, “this position and the reorganization of our Campus Safety Division is our proactive response to comprehensive safety recommendations and reflects our commitment to ensuring the highest standards of safety and security on our campus. I am confident that Todd’s expertise in law enforcement and community education will enhance the university’s campus safety initiatives and provide strategic insights on changing policies, state and federal laws, and community expectations for strategic planning for safety across campus.”

IMPORTANT: Changes to Aladdin Catering Billing Structure

On behalf of Auxiliary Services

We are changing some processes in the Aladdin Catering Billing Structure to both simplify and expedite the payment process as well as mitigate risk of nonpayment.

Beginning January 1st 2024, all Catering will be booked with a P-Card as opposed to an index code/ account number.

In the rare event that the catering exceeds a P-Card limit, the booking process will continue to use an account number but the billing will not go through Auxiliary Services but rather the Office of Financial Management.

It is vitally important, that all ABF's be submitted a week prior to the event as Aladdin has been instructed not to service any catering without this form.

For the P-Card process, you will receive an "Paid" invoice when your event is complete and that will be your receipt for the transaction.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Josh Gurley ext 2611.

Updates for Adding Publisher Content to Blackboard Courses

On behalf of Educational Technology, Information Technology

Blackboard has announced that they are ending support for Building Blocks in Blackboard Learn as of January 1, 2024, and necessary applications and tools will be switched from Building Blocks to REST APIs, LTIs, and Partner Cloud integrations.

If you are using a third party publisher for course content, such as Cengage, McGraw Hill, or Pearson, ensure that you are adding course content through the approved version of the tool, and not the Building Block. If you integrate publishers and add content through the Building Block for the spring semester, it will likely become inaccessible after January 1.

Not sure whether you are adding content with the Building Block or LTI/Partner Cloud? Check out the support article below to view instructions for adding content form each third party publisher into your course!
