Super Bowl LVIII: Brought to You by American Business

The ability of businesses to team up to create unforgettable moments and touchstone experiences is a testament to the power and possibility of American Free Enterprise.

Game day: On Sunday, millions of sports fans will be glued to the television – as thousands watch from the stands in Las Vegas – for Super Bowl LVIII. While fans are eager to see the players and coaches on the field, it is the many businesses and employees behind the scenes that make memorable events like this possible.

Big score: The game's economic benefits for the host city are well-known. Las Vegas is set to harness a $500 million economic surge from the Super Bowl. Less known, however, is how the Super Bowl helps local communities thousands of miles from the game.

Quick hits:

  • 77% of Americans will watch Super Bowl LVIII
  • $17.3 billion projected in consumer spending
  • 80% of Super Bowl spending goes to food and drinks
  • $86.04 spent on average per household on game-day essentials

Why it matters: It all adds up to increased economic activity for local businesses and a top-notch experience for fans–whether tuning in to root for one of the competing teams, watching the halftime show, or just being a part of the excitement with friends and family. LEARN MORE
