Cutler Bay Names Two Newly Acquired Parks:
Coastal Ridge Preserve and Veterans Park
The Town of Cutler Bay proudly announces the official naming of two newly acquired parks, a significant milestone in the Town’s ongoing efforts to preserve green spaces and enhance community resilience. During the September 2024 Town Council Meeting, the Council unanimously approved the names for the newly purchased properties: Coastal Ridge Preserve, an 8.5-acre site located on Old Cutler Road and SW 184th Street, and Veterans Park, a 3.5-acre property located on Old Cutler Road and SW 87th Avenue.

Cutler Bay Open Breaks Fundraising Record with $17,260 for Community Projects
The 16th Annual Cutler Bay Open Charity Golf Tournament, held on Saturday, September 14, at Redland Golf & Country Club, exceeded expectations by raising an impressive $17,260 for the Cutler Bay Community Fund, setting a new fundraising record.

Cutler Bay Honors Encompass Health with Proclamation for National Rehabilitation Awareness Week
In celebration of National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, the Town of Cutler Bay proudly presented a proclamation to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami on September 18, 2024. Mayor Tim Meerbott, along with the Town Council, joined the leadership team at Encompass Health for a special tour of the facility, recognizing the critical role rehabilitative services play in restoring the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

Franjo Road Improvement Project - Transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2
An upcoming planned detour extension transitioning from Work Zone Phase #1 to Work Zone Phase #2 is tentatively scheduled to be implemented in the third week of Oct 2024. Once all the drainage installations are complete on Work Zone #1, drainage crews will continue and commence on the drainage installations for Work Zone #2, however, Sterling Drive crossing Franjo Road will remain open until the majority of the groundwork on Work Zone #1 is complete.
