Dear Rondout Families, Faculty and Friends,
Happy second week of school. ITBS testing is in full swing for grades 3 through 8 with CoGAT testing scheduled for grades 3, 5 and 7. These results should be available by the beginning of October to assist in planning for the student ISLIPs (Individualized Student Learning Plans) which will be created for each student who took these assessments. Parents will also have the opportunity to meet with us to review and discuss the results. Once we have the ISLIPS processed we will provide a sign up for appointments in person and via zoom. We look forward to checking in with you about this student information.
As we work through the student schedules at the start of each year there are always a few areas that need tweaking. This week, we will be adjusting the order of some of the Upper School classes in the afternoon. Students will receive their updated schedules and the adjustments will begin tomorrow.
On another note in our efforts to provide our upper school students with additional responsibility and choices, the 6-8 students were able to successfully configure the seating plan for their lunch period. Their plan will be implemented tomorrow at lunch. We look forward to their taking responsibility and enjoying their choices.
We plan to host several garden parties prior to the final harvest in October at the end of the growing season. Look for updates in next week's flyer as we work around scheduled activities.
Hope you can join us for one or more of the harvest days.
