Note from School Leaders

Dear Rising Tide Students and Families,

This week is Spirit Week at Rising Tide for the entire building. Please see below for events this week through the home matches on Friday and Saturday. We hope to see many students and families at school this Saturday.

Today we released the third snapshot of current grades for students in their courses through the Community Portal. Please note that the grades can be viewed on the Community Portal for a limited window of time until Thursday, October 17 at 8:00 a.m. Students and Parents/Guardians can use the print screen option on their computer (windows optionmac option) to capture this second release of current grades. We want to remind you that the Google Classroom for each course is another great resources for parents, guardians, and caregivers to review together. If you are having any trouble accessing the Community Portal, please let us know here.

The LifeTouch photographs have arrived and will be given to students this week to bring home. If a student missed the first picture day or would like to take a new photograph, the picture retake day will be on Monday, November 4.

Have a wonderful week.

Sincerely,

Michael O'Keefe

Head of School

Zahra Williams

Principal/Assistant Head of School

Middle Schoolers to Perform Show and Spell

Our middle school students will be performing their play, Show and Spell by Julia Brownell, in early November. This insightful comedy for young actors is about five middle schoolers who take on overzealous parents, crazy coaches, and nostalgic relatives as they prepare for the annual spelling bee. With contestants that range from an unflappable cheerleader who cheers all her words to the anxiety-prone daughter of a movie star, spelling the words correctly may be the least of these kids' worries. Performances will be on November 7th and 8th at 6:00 pm. Tickets will be $5 and available at the door!
