January 2024 Newsletter

A Message From Leah Flach

Our President

As we all celebrate the holiday season, in full swing already, your WWC Board wants to wish you and yours a magical and safe holiday! Enjoy every second with your precious family and friends. Cherish each other and laugh out loud often. The holidays are a busy time. Find quiet moments of joy, share old stories, memories and create new experiences.

We celebrated last week with our December luncheon. Tommy, the extraordinary Bartender, showed us how to make special holiday cocktails. Ginger’s French Kiss was such a special creation. Our gift exchange left or right kept us guessing to the very end. Right Mary Beth!

Last Friday night’s Gala Holiday in Paris was truly an exceptional evening. Thank you so much Angela Little and Deidri Ottesen. They both put their hearts into planning an elegant and memorable evening. The band Bell Tower Blues kept us dancing until the very end. It was a very special evening with WWC friends.

Thank you so much to everyone who remembered the staff at The Wakefield Club with a holiday card and contribution. They were so grateful. To see their faces made me so proud to be with such generous, kind women. You are all amazing.

I want to say once again our WWC Board is so grateful for each of you. Wherever your holiday plans may take you your WWC Board wishes you much JOY, LOVE, HOPE and most of all PEACE.

Leah

2. Registrations and checks must be received by 5 pm on the Wednesday before the luncheon. Please be mindful that USPS is taking longer these days to deliver mail, sometimes up to 5 business days for local mail. Online Registration is important for this reason so we know to expect your check.
3. Checks are cashed after the luncheon. When sending in your check, you do not need to print out the form; simply put “Luncheon” in the memo line.
4. No refunds are given for any reason after Noon on the Friday before the luncheon because we have to turn in our billed head count to the country club at that time.

Holiday in Paris was a huge success! We wish that everyone could have made it! The decorations were beautiful, the food was delicious and the Bell Tower Blues Band rocked us all night long!

Angela and Deidri would like to thank all of the ladies that helped with the planning and decorating. A big ’thank you’ also goes out to the staff of Wakefield Country Club who made the night blend seamlessly from cocktails to dinner to dancing.
