Student Association Thanksgiving Baskets



Student Association (SA) held their annual Thanksgiving Baskets Drive, where they collected canned food and money for Community Support Services in Brookfield, an organization that helps adults with intellectual disabilities. SA was able to donate 23 baskets filled with meals for families to enjoy their Thanksgiving!

Congratulations to RB Swimmer, Hailey Vlcek!

Hailey Vlcek finished 3rd in State for the 200 Yard Freestyle and 14th in State for the 100 Yard Freestyle! She is a 2x All-State swimmer in the 200 free and 100 free. Congratulations, Hailey!

Board Recognition of ILMEA District I Musicians

On November 14, the District 208 Board of Education recognized the ILMEA District 1 Musicians. The Senior Festival is this Saturday, November 18 at Elmhurst University.

First Special Olympics Home Game of the Season!

The Special Olympics Basketball Team had their first home game vs. Fenton on Wednesday. Although RB didn't win the game, the team had a great game full of teamwork and communication.

Bi-Annual Food Truck!

The Foods and Marketing classes had their first bi-annual food truck of the year! Students in marketing classes come up with a business plan and pitch to the foods classes, and the winning idea gets their own food truck. The Dog Truck sold hot dogs, chips, and lemonade! 🌭

Best Buddies Food Drive!

Best Buddies had another successful food drive for the Share Food Share Love Food Pantry, a food pantry providing food assistance to 15 villages in western Cook County. This food drive is a great way for RBHS and Best Buddies to give back to the local community.

Faculty Breakfast

On Thursday morning, RBHS faculty enjoyed a nice breakfast while celebrating the school's Illinois Report Card Exemplary Designation. This achievement could not be made possible without the wonderful faculty that helps our students grow and learn.

Girls Tennis: Conference Champions

Girls Tennis won their first Metro Suburban Conference title since 2009! Sophomore Soleli Kaciuba and junior Harriet Juister (No.1 doubles) and juniors Eleanor Glennie and Eleanor Lenaghan (No. 2 doubles) were conference champions. Congratulations!

School Board Members Day: November 15

November 15 was School Board Members Day in Illinois. Riverside Brookfield High School would like to thank the RBHS District 208 Board of Education for their time, dedication, and leadership for our district and community. Thank you to Deanna Zalas, Lorena Gasca, William Durkin, Laura Hruska, Carolyn Lach, Nicholas Novak, and Ryan VenHorst for all that you do!

Landscaping Project Complete!

The Landscaping Project in front of the school is complete! The project includes a patio/lunch area, and the tables for this area were generously donated by the Class of 1972. Thank you!
