August was certainly an exciting month with the launch of Lemonade Day Tiffin, our Educators Appreciation Breakfast, Around the Town event, and five Ribbon Cuttings to celebrate new locations and additional investment into our community!

Lemonade Day Tiffin a Great Success in First Year
Thank you to Croghan Colonial Bank for sponsoring this awesome program with us, the families who helped their youth through the program and set up stands, and to the community who showed so much support!
Corri Weaver was the winner of Best of the Best Tasting Event that was held at the Tiffin Community Kitchen with her "Fancy Lemonade" recipe and is the proud recipient of a one-of-a-kind 3D printed trophy from Plasonite! For more pictures of the lemonade stands from Saturday, click here.

Marilyn Seislove Recognized at Educators Appreciation Breakfast
The Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce gathered with more than 225 guests at Heidelberg University’s Seiberling Gymnasium on Thursday morning to celebrate the start of the school year and to welcome new educators to Seneca County.
During the Educators Appreciation Breakfast, the Chamber recognized Calvert Catholic Schools Educator, Marilyn Seislove, with the 2023 Outstanding Educator Award. You can watch her award video here or read more about the morning here.

Welcome Back Students!
The Chamber hosted our annual Around the Town event in downtown Tiffin. A special thank you to Heidelberg University and Tiffin University for making time in their busy welcome weekend schedules to have more than 1,000 students interact with more than 50 businesses and organizations. Tiffin City Schools unveiled five new tennis courts replacing the five that were in serious disrepair. The last full renovation took place in 1987. The courts, new from the ground up, also have an upgraded viewing area with an improved concrete surface.
D2 Excavating of Vickery, OH was the general contractor. Subcontractors included Courtsmiths, M & B Asphalt, and Petty Group. Garmann Miller was the architect for the project. View more pictures of the ribbon cutting here.

Congratulations to Mike and Kellie Aiello and the entire Richard's Carpet Outlet team on their new location at 390 West Market Street in Tiffin!
Richard’s Carpet Outlet celebrated its 40th year in business in July of 2021. Mike and Kellie Aiello purchased the business in 2019. Richard's Carpet Outlet provides carpet, luxury vinyl tile, area rugs, laminate flooring, vinyl flooring, hardwood flooring, remnants, expert installation, and free quotes to the Tiffin and surrounding communities.

Congratulations to the entire Hampton Inn Tiffin team on their renovations to their facility at 2492 South State Route 231!
Hampton Inn’s renovations include painting and altering the appearance of the outside of the building, new signage, new landscaping, new carpet and wallpaper in the hallways, newly painted door frames, new carpet and wallpaper in the meeting rooms, and resealing the parking lot. Congratulations to Danny and Katie Perry, along with the entire Big Mike's team, on the completion of their renovations! We'd also like to extend a special congratulations to Ginny Bursa for receiving Tiffin Pedal Company's 2023 People Of Service Award at the ceremony!
Danny and Katie Perry purchased the business and building in 2021 and officially opened their doors in December 2022. The food establishment was previously named Uncle Mike’s Dairy Bar and was renamed in honor of Danny’s father. Since purchasing the business and building, the Perry’s have completely renovated the space along with a new menu. They also have recently launched a breakfast menu to better serve the needs of the community.
If you have not stopped over to Big Mike's at 274 South Washington Street in downtown Tiffin, give them a try today! You won't regret it!

Congratulations to Jose and Kimberly Arias on cutting the ribbon on Happy Days Nutrition of Tiffin's new location at 31 Court Street in downtown Tiffin!
Happy Days Nutrition serves nutritious shakes, smoothies, and teas and strives to spread positivity, hope, and success. Jose and Kimberly Arias, long-time residents of Tiffin, made their dream of opening a shop and nutrition club a reality with Happy Days Nutrition in 2020 and have expanded to their new location on Court Street.
When you walk through the doors of Happy Days, you can expect more than just friendly service from whoever is serving behind the counter. The space is intended to be a welcoming place for everyone who enters, a place where you can relax, socialize, ask questions, and be yourself while being surrounded by the Happy Days Team who care about you and your goals.
