Happy New Year, Deacs!

It’s almost time for us to welcome you back! We hope that you’re enjoying the break and looking forward to returning to campus soon. We wanted to follow up on our December 20 message to make sure you’re prepared for your return to campus. We also look ahead to two important deadlines to turn your attention to: Occupancy Verification and RA applications! See more information below.

RETURNING

FOR SPRING 24

If you are returning to your Fall 2023 housing for the Spring 2024 semester, please review the dates below regarding when your access will begin. Unless noted below or communicated to you individually, we are unable to facilitate additional early arrival requests for the spring semester, so please plan accordingly. Card access will begin at 9 a.m. on each date.

  • Prior to January 12
  • Approved Early Arrivals
  • Friday, January 12
  • Current Sorority Members
  • Saturday, January 13
  • All On-Campus Students, including potential new sorority members

*Approved early arrivals received an individual message confirming an approved arrival date, so be sure to check your email!

Note: There will be extended wait times for students who are locked out during opening, so please be sure that you remember your room key and student ID. If you have lost your key, please submit a lock recore request. You can pick up your replacement key at our office during business hours upon your return. The Deacon One office will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, for students who need a replacement student ID.

Occupancy Verification

It’s that time of year! Upon your return, you’ll be required to complete your Occupancy Verification via the Housing Portal. All residents must complete this process by January 22. This quick process lets us know that you have moved into your assigned room and that you have working keys to your room.

Need help? View our step-by-step instructions on how to complete your occupancy verification.

Apply to be an RA!

We are just under a week away from the deadline to apply to be an RA! Interested in a premiere student leadership position on campus? Apply to be an RA via the Housing Portal by January 16. You can learn more about the RA role by visiting go.wfu.edu/ra.

For additional questions, please feel free to email
