El Sol Newsletter

I am pleased to provide you with an update on our campus construction. Our partner, Silver Creek Modular Construction https://silvercreekmodular.com/, has been constructing our building in their production facility throughout the summer and it is now approximately 70% constructed (see photo). The prefabricated building is expected to be complete in about 30 days. Just prior to that, our general contractor Kemp Bros https://www.kempbros.com/ will prepare the site for building placement and complete all connections, including the creation of the outdoor stage and small amphitheater.

While you cannot see anything happening right now, work is happening in the background, and we are still expecting to meet our timeline of February or March. I understand that this is a different time schedule than we had planned for last Spring, so we thank you for your patience and understanding. 

We are so excited to be making progress to complete the final phase of construction. Be on the lookout for future updates and information as we move closer to the onsite portion of the construction process. 

I want to remind you that our lunch vendor will once again be Sapphire in Schools beginning Monday. This is a reminder of the importance of completing the school lunch applications. You have been receiving notifications through Parent Square with a link to the online application. We really appreciate you completing this as soon as possible. 

El Sol has an active and energetic PTO. Through their efforts students have access to field trips, activities and other important supports. There are many upcoming events that would benefit from your volunteer assistance. Me complace brindarle una actualización sobre la construcción de nuestro campus. Nuestro socio, Silver Creek Modular Construction https://silvercreekmodular.com/, ha estado construyendo nuestro edificio en sus instalaciones de producción durante todo el verano y ahora está construido aproximadamente en un 70 % (ver foto). Se espera que el edificio prefabricado esté terminado en aproximadamente 30 días. Realmente apreciamos que completen esto lo antes posible.

Drop off and Pick up Instructions

Drive Slowly while traveling on Halesworth.

Valet Dashboard Name Tag

• Please write your 1) child’s first name, 2) last name, 3) teacher and 4) grade
• Place the paper in your car dashboard during pick up. This will help our staff know who you are picking up.

Siblings pick up

• Please pick up when the last sibling gets out of school so you don’t block the valet line. If you arrive early, you will be asked to come back until your child is out. 
• If you have children on both sides - Pick up on the elementary side and have your child in the middle school cross the street to meet the youngest sibling in the elementary side. The child in the middle school side will need a walking pass located in our parent portal (powerschool). 
• Follow the valet route as outlined on the attached map

Do not park or leave your car in the valet line during drop off and pick up times

Do not allow your child to exit from the street side of the car

Follow the direction of the staff who are outside on the valet and most of all be respectful and patient

Be respectful of other drivers, everyone is in a hurry

Avoid frustration by leaving a little earlier and giving yourself time

Follow all traffic and parking signs
