MSPTO's 9th Annual Holiday Pop-Up Shop is Wednesday, November 29, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm in the lobby of Medway High School. Get started on your holiday shopping!

The next Friday Night Done Right is December 15! This is a FREE youth drop-in program for MEDWAY residents and/or students in grades 5-8. Parents - you get the night off while youth can enjoy pizza, sports, crafts, music, and social time. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is providing complimentary breakfast and lunch for all students. In addition, the Medway Public Schools offer reduced fees (PK tuition, athletic fees, trip fees) for qualifying families. To determine eligibility, families are encouraged to submit an application.

MEDWAY COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Medway Community Education's Fall Brochure is now available. Check out the Fall 2023 brochure, overflowing with exciting programs.

Join us for a fun evening and learn how to make your own Royal Icing and fill and outline your cookies! You will receive 12 pre-baked cookies ready to be decorated. Some of the designs included are Snowflakes, Snowmen, Christmas Trees, and Stockings. You will learn how to make the perfect Shortbread cookie (recipe included), get tips on how to keep your dough from spreading, and learn the secrets of piping and using different decorating tips. Class is Thursday, December 14 at 6:30 pm.

Nothing gets you in the Holiday spirit more than Gingerbread House decorating! We take all the difficulty out of baking and decorating houses by providing you with everything you need to succeed and proudly display your creation at home. Join our instructor as she walks you through the simple steps of putting your house together and providing fun and simple decorations however you desire, or follow along with the instructor's ideas. The class is on December 7 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

Virtual classes include face yoga, acupressure for relief, and cell phones and parenting. Classes start in December. Please click this link to learn more about each class and when it is offered.

'SUPMEDWAY

What is the #buildingbrightbrains campaign about? It is a series of initiatives to share messages with parents and adolescents that brains continue to develop until age 25, and choices made during youth can change the brain's structure for better or worse. Like this post or follow SUP Medway as we continue to empower both teens and their parents with tips on what "boosts" the brain and facts on what to avoid to not "bust" brain development.

Some people drink alcohol as a way to connect with people. Serotonin is one of the neurochemicals strongly associated with feeling connected. Alcohol and other drugs prompt the brain to release an excess of a different neurotransmitter, dopamine. The problem is, generally, the brain doesn't release both serotonin and dopamine simultaneously. This means our connection with our people while drinking is superficial at best.

As in past years, Medway's annual Christmas parade will include many fire apparatus from cities and towns all over Massachusetts, as well as floats from commercial businesses and community organizations and antique vehicles.

The parade kicks off from Medway High School promptly at 5:30p.m. on Nov. 25, 2023. The festivities will also feature the annual Christmas light presentation at Choate Park and will culminate with a dazzling fireworks display.

Join us for the Medway Scouts BSA Santa Breakfast & Silent Auction on Saturday, December 2, from 7:30 am-11:00 am at St. Joseph's Parish Center. Enjoy a delicious breakfast, pictures with Santa, games and crafts in Santa's Village, and a Silent Auction full of beautiful items from local businesses. Indeed, something for everyone!

Join us for our historic holiday tour in the Village Historic District featuring beautiful Christmas decor. We are happy to showcase two churches and six historic homes this year!

This is a self-guided tour. Some tour sites are within walking distance of each other, and a few are a little farther. We will provide locations for parking within your ticket brochure. Tickets are $35 per person.

Are stockings part of your holiday tradition? This year, make it extra special by making your stockings, complete with wood initials! In this fun workshop on December 5th, our instructor will show you how to hand-loop your stockings! Enjoy the experience even more by making stockings together. Each registration includes materials to make two stockings. 

Let your child's sweetest dreams come true in these decorating adventure workshops. All participants will have their creations to bring home and share with their families. Join us Tuesday, December 12th at 4:00 pm to create a snowman cake!

Infant massage promotes bonding through interaction, stimulation, relaxation, and relief.
